Associate, Valuation Controller

Responsibilities

• Execute price verification and benchmark processes, including the calculation of fair value adjustments
• Assist with established valuation control practices and control initiatives
• Perform work related to management reporting, regulatory mandates, and framework consistency
• Partner with functional groups to develop and implement measures ensuring fair value
• Enhance the existing control framework by reviewing pricing processes and implementing new efficiency tools
• Support various value-added projects related to Business, Risk, and Finance initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of related professional experience
• Strong understanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products and derivatives
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Analytical and quantitative aptitude
• Ability to understand complex products and analyze transaction and process flows
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with a major in Finance or Economics
• Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering
• Previous work experience within the financial services industry
• Proficiency with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, automation, and database skills
