Associate UX Designer

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting user research, including interviews with members, care coordinators, and clinical users.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design solutions for health technology products.
• Support the synthesis of research findings into structured artifacts such as journey maps, affinity diagrams, and personas.
• Contribute to the production and maintenance of UI specifications, design documentation, and developer handoff assets using Figma.
• Apply design system components, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards consistently across all deliverables.
• Participate in design critiques, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional reviews with product and engineering partners.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure faithful and accessible implementation of designs in regulated environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field from a premium design institute.
• A portfolio demonstrating foundational design thinking and at least one end-to-end case study.
• 0–3 years of professional UX design experience, including internships, academic projects, or freelance work.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component usage, auto-layout, and basic prototyping.
• Foundational understanding of visual design principles such as hierarchy, spacing, color, and typography.
• Familiarity with usability heuristics and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate design rationale clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to agile or sprint-based product development environments.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, insurance, or social services context.
• Awareness of cognitive and behavioral psychology as it applies to user decision-making.
