Associate - UK Payroll

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end UK payroll processes, including data input, tax code validation via HMRC portal, and statutory payment calculations.
• Execute pre-payroll and post-payroll activities such as exception reports, GL simulations, BACS reconciliation, and payslip production.
• Handle statutory documentation and filings, including P45, P46, and year-end returns (P60, P11Ds, etc.).
• Process statutory payments such as maternity, paternity, sick pay, and adoption pay.
• Ensure accurate and timely salary payments for clients while meeting defined SLA, TAT, and accuracy levels.
• Resolve employee pay queries via email or telephone and build strong relationships with clients and third-party providers.
• Identify and highlight risks, errors, or areas for process improvement to the relevant teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Graduate degree or Diploma holder.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and time management skills to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for close collaboration with UK-based clients.
• Knowledge of UK payroll and statutory deductions (PAYE, National Insurance, Student Loans) is highly desired.
