About the role
Responsibilities
- Achieve defined sales quotas for current and prospective customers within the designated territory
- Prospect for new sales opportunities via cold and warm leads to drive new customer acquisition
- Conduct customer site visits to demonstrate Cognex products and provide technical solutions for manufacturing applications
- Manage sales activities and update competitive data and project details within the CRM system
- Assist at trade shows and marketing events to generate qualified leads
- Identify and generate leads for specialized sales teams regarding complex vision applications
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of sales training and field experience in a metric-driven environment
- 4-year college degree from a reputable university
- Technical problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new automation technology
- Ability to travel up to 20% and visit multiple accounts daily using your own means of transport
- Strong communication, listening, and independent working skills
Preferred Qualifications
- STEM major degree
- Proficiency with MS Windows applications and PC literacy
