Associate Territory Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Territory Manager in developing and executing business plans for the assigned territory
• Recruit, develop, and coach new sales managers and sales agents
• Implement onboarding programs for new District General Agents (DGAs)
• Provide ongoing coaching to District Managers to help them achieve sales goals and correct performance shortfalls
• Create marketing approaches to grow the territory and enhance leadership sales opportunities
• Manage the sales office, including staff and budget oversight
• Drive direct sales results by fostering a culture of prospecting within the territory

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in a similar role with Colonial Life or a comparable company
• Proven experience in prospecting for and closing direct voluntary sales
• Ability to recruit and manage independent contractors
• Ability to obtain an insurance license in the required states within 45 days
• Strong strategic planning and business planning skills
• Willingness to travel extensively based on territory needs
