Responsibilities

• Organize, write, edit, and publish new and existing product documentation for security technology audiences
• Participate in peer reviews, restructuring, and optimization of the product documentation set
• Interpret product specifications and incorporate them into documentation
• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and QA teams to gather requirements
• Create graphics and illustrations such as process and data flows
• Contribute content for presentations, white papers, and web pages

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 0-2 years of experience writing highly technical software documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, including software development vocabulary
• Familiarity with Markdown
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience creating graphics using PowerPoint, Visio, or SnagIT
• Experience using AI to generate documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Software Engineering or QA
• Experience with source control tools like Subversion or Git
• Prior experience writing documentation for data security software
• Experience developing training materials
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, or other wikis and task tracking systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle
