About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support for system optimization, upgrades, repairs, and modifications
- Coordinate technical support regarding engineering, regulatory compliance, quality, and mechanical equipment issues
- Assist during regulatory agency inspections and provide technical support in response to the FDA
- Complete advanced maintenance activities in accordance with cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies
- Investigate complex technical issues and troubleshoot equipment or system failures
- Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system
- Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, and P&ID plans
- Support operations during non-standard shifts, including weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with 4 years of Technical Engineering experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Technical Engineering experience
- Strong mechanical proficiency and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, specifically packaging equipment
- Knowledge of PLC, Computer Serialization, and Vision Inspection Systems (such as Cognex or Systech)
- Strong organizational, project management, and technical writing capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
