About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering support for system optimization, upgrades, repairs, and modifications
  • Coordinate technical support regarding engineering, regulatory compliance, quality, and mechanical equipment issues
  • Assist during regulatory agency inspections and provide technical support in response to the FDA
  • Complete advanced maintenance activities in accordance with cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies
  • Investigate complex technical issues and troubleshoot equipment or system failures
  • Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system
  • Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, and P&ID plans
  • Support operations during non-standard shifts, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with 4 years of Technical Engineering experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Technical Engineering experience
  • Strong mechanical proficiency and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, specifically packaging equipment
  • Knowledge of PLC, Computer Serialization, and Vision Inspection Systems (such as Cognex or Systech)
  • Strong organizational, project management, and technical writing capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
