Associate Technical Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead live fittings to evaluate support, comfort, and silhouette, providing precise fit comments and visual corrections to vendors.
• Establish and re-evaluate annual blocks using CAD and flat pattern-making to ensure consistency across all size ranges.
• Build and maintain detailed Tech Packs, including complex BOMs (trims, elastics, linings), construction templates, and stretch-based grade rules.
• Inspect all samples from Proto to TOP to ensure construction integrity, proper stitch tension, and adherence to quality standards.
• Partner with Design and Development teams to select appropriate fabrications and trims that meet aesthetic and cost goals.
• Monitor market trends regarding new bonding technologies, seam constructions, and consumer trends in swim and lingerie.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience, specifically focused on Swim, Intimates, or high-stretch performance wear.
• Proven expertise in pattern adjustments for both Junior and Plus sizing, with a deep understanding of body contouring.
• Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft/Google Suites.
• Strong material knowledge regarding elastics, knit fabrications, and specialized machinery like flatlock and overlock.
• Exceptional communication skills for coordinating technical issues with domestic and overseas partners.

• Experience using PLM software.
