About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
  • Implement high-quality infant/toddler programs focusing on language, literacy, and social-emotional development
  • Assist with age-appropriate routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping
  • Observe children and document development through notes, photos, and assessment tools
  • Maintain active supervision and comply with CDSS and CDE regulations
  • Partner with families to share information regarding child progress and routines
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and readiness

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 ECE units, including 3 Infant/Toddler units
  • Associate Teacher Permit from the Department of Education
  • CPR/First Aid Training Certification
  • Completion of CCL Record Keeping Component and 16 hours of health and safety training
  • Ability to pass health screening, TB test, and background fingerprint clearance
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs
  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed program
  • Bilingual skills
