Associate Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle balanced system solutions
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility
• Perform analyses to optimize system architecture and evaluate factors such as safety, reliability, and maintainability
• Support the planning and monitoring of requirements management processes, risk management, and technology readiness assessments
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues and lead emergent projects in support of design and delivery
• Partner with certification teams to ensure execution aligns with programmatic schedules and strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of related systems engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in verification and validation of requirements
• Proficiency with Requirements Management tools, such as IBM DOORS
• Experience in systems integration and testing, including lab, ground, and flight testing
