Associate Structural & Payload Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design
• Maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D CAD tools
• Provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
• Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve development effectiveness, quality, and efficiency
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in aircraft structure, materials, properties, design criteria, and release processes
• 3+ years of experience with aircraft primary structures, including design, strength, and fatigue
• Knowledge of design theory and engineering principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering tools such as CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM
• Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, and repair techniques)
• Background in Airplane Design, Stress Analysis, Liaison Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience with Boeing 7-Series Aircraft Primary Structures
• Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
