Associate Space Communications Systems Engineer Analyst

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and analysis of space systems throughout the program lifecycle, including business development, design, validation, and operations.
• Perform analyses to evaluate customer needs, define system performance requirements, and ensure compatibility of physical and functional interfaces.
• Assist with RF link analysis, capacity computation, and waveform analysis for space-based communications systems.
• Optimize system architecture and evaluate factors such as affordability, safety, reliability, security, and survivability to ensure mission success.
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to the development and verification of complex system-of-systems solutions.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance post-start).
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing or using mathematical models and data to demonstrate compliance with system requirements.
• Experience in at least one area: RF link analysis, communications capacity analysis, or waveform analysis for space-based systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, MATLAB, C++, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
• Experience developing and maintaining requirements analysis documents (RADs) or algorithm description documents (ADDs).
• Comprehensive experience across all three core areas: RF link analysis, capacity analysis, and waveform analysis.
• Experience developing tools or simulations to solve technical problems within RF links or waveform analysis.
