Associate Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal applications, scripts, and tools that support departmental operations
• Modify existing software to add features, fix defects, or improve usability and performance
• Support workflow automation and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with backend logic, data access, and basic integration tasks
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving application or automation issues
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements
• Support applications and services running in production environments
• Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation
• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Foundational programming experience through coursework, labs, internships, or professional work
• Basic understanding of application and database interactions
• Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia
• Ability to follow change and review procedures in production environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent graduates in IT or Computer Science
• Military veterans with technical experience
• Hands-on experience with application development, scripting, or workflow automation
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or PowerShell
