About the role
Responsibilities
- Support routine expansion, maintenance, and characterization of primary human cell cultures using aseptic technique
- Assist with 3D tissue seeding, maintenance, feeding, harvesting, and downstream processing workflows
- Execute routine molecular and cellular assays including ELISAs, flow cytometry, cell digestions, fixations, and staining
- Monitor and supervise automated workflows during scheduled operating windows
- Interface with robotics and hardware teams to troubleshoot workflow issues and improve platform reliability
- Collaborate with scientists across bioengineering, biology, automation, and computational teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, or related life sciences field
- 1-3 years of prior industry experience
- Hands-on experience with sterile mammalian cell culture techniques
- Familiarity with standard wet-lab molecular and cellular biology assays
- Ability to work a shifted schedule (Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with primary human cells or 3D cell culture systems (organoids, spheroids, organ-on-chip)
- Experience with ELISA, flow cytometry, immunostaining, or fluorescence imaging
- Exposure to automated laboratory systems or liquid handling robotics
