Associate Scientist – Physical Characterization

Responsibilities

• Analyze powder samples for physical properties including particle size distribution, bulk density, true density, powder flow, and particle shape
• Analyze liquid samples for viscosity and surface tension
• Utilize techniques such as optical microscopy, laser diffraction particle size analysis, electron microscopy, shear cell testing, and compaction simulation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a science-related field
• At least one year of experience in particle and powder characterization
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in data handling and scientific/engineering computations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing and carrying out experimental plans
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
