Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with scientific staff to develop, automate, and implement automated methods
  • Monitor usage of automated methods, train operators, and troubleshoot systems
  • Maintain and repair automated systems
  • Execute studies for process improvements and advancements
  • Support screening, optimization, and scale-up efforts across Tech Ops teams
  • Identify key areas for optimization and implement high-throughput automation tools
  • Continuously optimize existing automated methods and program operational tools
  • Stay updated on lab automation industry trends and novel instruments

Requirements

  • B.S. or Advanced Degree with 1-2+ years of directly related experience
  • Degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Molecular Medicine, Genetics, or related field
  • Understanding of base level coding logic and computer systems
  • Understanding of nucleic acid chemistry, enzymatic/chemical reactions, and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of standard analytical techniques for DNA, RNA, and LNP substances
  • Ability to conduct laboratory experiments and maintain excellent documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with programming and automation, specifically liquid handler instruments
  • Knowledge of Hamilton systems or other automated platforms
