About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine support testing and optimization of analytical test methods, including capillary electrophoresis (cIEF and CE-SDS), ELISA, HPLC, and UPLC methods.
- Support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes and analytical/characterization methods for biotherapeutic candidates.
- Author and review SOPs, technical reports, and investigation documentation.
- Assist with the investigation and troubleshooting of technical issues and aberrant test conditions.
- Support the transfer of analytical test methods for development and clinical support to internal and external laboratories.
- Maintain scientific knowledge and train other laboratory personnel as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of HPLC/UPLC experience in a relevant analytical laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with analytical test methods such as LC, ELISA, and CE.
- Ability to follow written procedures and document data accurately in peer-reviewed laboratory notebooks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including handling biological and hazardous materials and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Experience with assay optimization and qualification specifically for protein therapeutics.
- Knowledge of cGMP and quality guidelines.
- Proficiency with Empower, Softmax, and JMP software.
- Experience with deep learning models, Python, or anomaly detection algorithms.
