Associate Scientist II (Analytical Development for Characterization)

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform analyses per SOPs, including detailed data interpretation
• Independently execute analytical assignments with accuracy and efficiency
• Implement LC-MS workflows for proteins, conjugates, and other in-process molecules
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Orbitrap, qTOF, and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers
• Conduct rigorous data analysis, interpret results, and present findings in team meetings
• Partner cross-functionally to develop analytical strategies and support program needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in an electronic lab notebook (ELN) system

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience (or an MS degree without industry experience)
• Hands-on experience utilizing mass spectrometry platforms, including hybrid Orbitraps, qTOFs, and triple quadrupoles
• Familiarity with peptide mapping and intact protein analysis workflows
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and documentation expertise
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional environments
• Ability to rapidly learn new analytical workflows and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems
• Scientific creativity and curiosity for applying new technologies to complex analytical challenges
