Associate Scientist, Formulation Development (DPDT)

Responsibilities

• Design and execute phase-appropriate formulation development studies, including screening, stability, and compatibility studies.
• Conduct biochemical and biophysical assessments and pre-formulation studies to support preclinical drug candidates.
• Characterize liquid and lyophilized drug product formulations to support process development and manufacturing.
• Develop and qualify analytical methods for critical quality attributes to support stability testing and formulation development.
• Provide technical support for technology transfer and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Document findings in electronic laboratory notebooks and author technical protocols and regulatory filing support documents.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and participate in departmental meetings to present study results.

Requirements

• B.S. or MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 0-3 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
• Ability to design and execute experiments and interpret results with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry or internship experience.
• Experience with protein/peptide chemistry and biophysical/biochemical characterization of proteins.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography (SEC, IEX, RP).
• Experience with gel electrophoresis (CE-SDS, MCE, cIEF, iCE).
• Proficiency in particle size analysis (DLS, HIAC, MFI) and spectroscopy (UV-Vis, CD, AUC, fluorescence).
• Experience with thermostability characterization (DSC, DSF).
