About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of spacecraft operations, including mission planning, telemetry monitoring, and trending to identify adverse on-orbit trends.
- Execute spacecraft and ground system maintenance and lead recovery efforts from spacecraft anomalies.
- Coordinate with external engineering groups on ground system testing, integration, and spacecraft launch, transfer, and initialization (LT&I).
- Analyze technical data to verify and sustain system configurations in accordance with operational requirements.
- Collaborate on process improvements, such as developing new software tools and increasing system automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain high-quality operational products, including procedures, tools, event logging, and training materials.
Requirements
- US Citizenship required; ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance and CI Polygraph is mandatory.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 1+ years of experience in a technical or engineering field.
- Willingness to work a rotating/variable shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to complete a specialized certification program involving self-study and on-the-job training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional or classroom experience working directly with aerospace vehicles.
- Experience with RF (radio frequency) signals or ground communication network systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Matlab, Java, or Linux.
- An active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance with a completed CI or Full Scope Polygraph.
