Associate Research Scientist III (Lab Manager)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lab operations to ensure an organized and efficient working environment
• Manage ordering and inventory of reagents, consumables, and equipment
• Maintain relationships with vendors and manage procurement processes
• Track and manage lab budgets for supplies, equipment, and service contracts in coordination with the PI and administration
• Maintain and organize lab databases, shared drives, and documentation including protocols, SOPs, and regulatory records
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and service contracts while troubleshooting issues and liaising with core facilities

Requirements

• B.Sc or M.Sc in biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, or related fields
• Proven experience with lab inventory management, vendor relations, and procurement
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and train others in laboratory techniques
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Illumina sequencing platform
• Familiarity with flow cytometry techniques
