About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to machine parts to required tolerances
  • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
  • Lay out, cut, form, and assemble metal components using various hand and power tools
  • Perform welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick to fabricate frames, brackets, and structural components
  • Repair damaged equipment and modify existing structures to improve reliability and safety
  • Support emergency breakdown repairs and perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to coordinate work and review specifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience in machining or fabrication
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC machining
  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
  • Experience using CMMS software (e.g., Maximo)
  • Availability for on-call or shift work
