Associate, Real Estate Transaction Services

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for multiple large-scale transactions, including oversight of timelines, workflows, and key project documents
• Support competitive site dispositions by drafting RFPs and analyzing responses
• Assist in drafting and negotiating term sheets, contracts of sale, and ground leases
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and pro formas for development projects
• Analyze and present findings to project teams, senior staff, and City agencies
• Create presentations for elected officials and community stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Planning, and Asset Management
• Manage relationships with real estate developers, attorneys, and urban planners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years of experience in finance, real estate development, urban planning, or public policy
• Proficiency in Excel with discounted cash flows and pro formas
• Experience with project management from conception to completion
• Effective communication skills for reports and presentations
• Must reside in New York City within 180 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in real estate development, public policy, urban planning, business, finance, or law
• Understanding of economic development issues and NYC Government
