Associate Purchasing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise cradle-to-grave purchasing activities, including bid evaluation, award cycles, and contract negotiations
• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers for goods and services
• Identify and implement corrective actions regarding supplier quality or schedule issues
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and project teams to ensure alignment
• Report procurement issues timely to project leads and senior management
• Conduct orderly closeout of procurement operations, including settlement of claims and resolving punch list items
• Support global counterparts by working flexible hours across different time zones

Requirements

• Engineering qualification, preferably with a focus on Supply Chain Management or Business
• 3+ years of Procurement and Supply Chain Management experience within a global EPC company
• Proven experience in purchasing or subcontracts, including commercial strategy and price negotiations
• Knowledge of key industries such as oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, or chemical sectors
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting commercial solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, schedule-driven environment
