About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of complex, cross-functional preclinical programs by coordinating with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Interact with patient advocacy groups, rare disease families, academic researchers, and biotech companies to advise on scientific needs and therapeutic strategies.
  • Oversee project coordination, execution, and completion to ensure center objectives are met.
  • Provide advanced administrative support for data collection and reporting in compliance with NIH requirements and program-specific goals.
  • Coordinate study activities, track timelines, and facilitate communication across scientific teams and high-impact external collaborators.
  • Partner with Study Directors and the VP to ensure smooth communication and alignment across all parties.
  • Manage grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting deadlines in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a Genetics-related field (MS/PhD preferred) or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience leading large-scale projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Proven experience in project management with a track record of successful program execution.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient-facing experience gained through clinical work, foundation involvement, or patient outreach.
  • Experience working with NIH reporting requirements and grant-funded activities.
