Associate Professor, Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

• Teach radiography classes and develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives
• Evaluate student progress and assess learning objectives
• Evaluate students at clinical locations (requires travel up to 100 miles from campus)
• Implement plans to improve student success rates for end-of-course exit examinations
• Maintain program certification requirements and required administrative documentation
• Provide academic advisement and participate in academic term registrations
• Maintain knowledge of current field trends through professional development and workshops

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Current, valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Radiologic Technology
• Familiarity with JRCERT accreditation standards
• Proficiency in curriculum/course design, program administration, and student evaluation
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time professional work experience in the discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• 3–5 years of full-time professional experience, including clinical or didactic instruction
• Active registration in the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
