Associate Professor of Law

Responsibilities

• Teach first-year, upper division required, and elective classes within the residential Juris Doctor program
• Engage in active scholarship and research
• Mentor students and support their professional development
• Provide timely feedback through assessments, grading, and other requested formats
• Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the faculty handbook
• Model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University through a biblically informed Christian worldview

Requirements

• J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school
• At least three years of prior law school teaching experience or at least seven years of legal practice experience
• Strong academic and professional background
• Unmistakable promise of ability for excellent teaching, scholarship, and service
• Commitment to a Biblical worldview and the mission of Liberty University

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to the university mission through past scholarship
• Enthusiasm for working with and mentoring law students
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
