About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach first-year, upper division required, and elective classes within the residential Juris Doctor program
- Engage in active scholarship and research
- Mentor students and support their professional development
- Provide timely feedback through assessments, grading, and other requested formats
- Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the faculty handbook
- Model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University through a biblically informed Christian worldview
Requirements
- J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school
- At least three years of prior law school teaching experience or at least seven years of legal practice experience
- Strong academic and professional background
- Unmistakable promise of ability for excellent teaching, scholarship, and service
- Commitment to a Biblical worldview and the mission of Liberty University

- Demonstrated commitment to the university mission through past scholarship
- Enthusiasm for working with and mentoring law students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
