About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach courses across radio, television, digital media, podcasting, and emerging broadcast platforms
- Integrate professional industry practice with academic instruction
- Provide strong mentorship and guidance to students
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching broadcasting and electronic media
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Broadcasting or equivalent professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications
- Professional experience in broadcasting (radio, television, digital, or multimedia platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the post-secondary level or in professional training environments
- Strong knowledge of broadcast production workflows, equipment, and software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree (Ph.D., MFA, or equivalent)
- Significant on-air, production, or management experience in professional broadcasting
- Proficiency with digital audio workstations and video production/editing software
- Experience with broadcast studios, consoles, live control rooms, and streaming platforms
- Experience supervising student media organizations or live broadcasts
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices
