About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses across radio, television, digital media, podcasting, and emerging broadcast platforms
  • Integrate professional industry practice with academic instruction
  • Provide strong mentorship and guidance to students
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching broadcasting and electronic media

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Broadcasting or equivalent professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications
  • Professional experience in broadcasting (radio, television, digital, or multimedia platforms)
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the post-secondary level or in professional training environments
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast production workflows, equipment, and software
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D., MFA, or equivalent)
  • Significant on-air, production, or management experience in professional broadcasting
  • Proficiency with digital audio workstations and video production/editing software
  • Experience with broadcast studios, consoles, live control rooms, and streaming platforms
  • Experience supervising student media organizations or live broadcasts
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices
