About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate large group lectures and small group lab sessions of dissection-based medical gross anatomy.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of anatomy laboratory sessions within LMU-DCOM.
- Teach within the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and PhD in Anatomy Education programs.
- Provide instruction in histology, neuroanatomy, and embryology as required.
- Mentor graduate and medical students and participate in departmental and institutional service.
- Prepare examination questions and manage course grading.
Requirements
- PhD in Anatomical Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in health professions education.
- Experience with whole-body donor dissection-based labs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience utilizing evidence-based pedagogies and strategies to increase student engagement and inclusivity.
- Ability or interest in contributing to embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy courses.
- An active research program with the capacity to include graduate and medical students.
- Research expertise in anatomy education, clinical anatomy, biological anthropology, or vertebrate paleontology.
