Associate Professor, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality course content, including in-person laboratory, practical, and simulation sessions.
• Apply educational principles to curriculum delivery across online Learning Management Systems and in-person formats.
• Evaluate and document student progress, providing advisement, learning plans, and remedial assistance as needed.
• Establish fair, transparent assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Participate in program quality improvement by reviewing course evaluations and adapting teaching methods.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to support student success and program goals.
• Engage in scholarship, research, and ongoing professional development related to MRI and education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiation Sciences or a related field.
• Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a certified MRI technologist.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Proficiency in MS Office and various computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in teaching or clinical education within a post-secondary or healthcare setting.
• Training and experience in adult education and hybrid learning methodologies.
• Current membership with CAMRT and OAMRS.
