Associate, Production Planning

Responsibilities

• Review the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) and resolve exception messages
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering Team on Bills of Material (BOM) from development through production
• Release supplier requisitions and shop orders for both BOM-driven and independent demand requirements
• Identify and initiate program inventory surplus actions and closeout activities
• Analyze program demand, create requisitions, and maintain horizontal plans or lines of balance for consumable items
• Partner with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to resolve issues and ensure customer commitments are met

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience, OR 4 years of related experience
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel up to 5% and work extended hours based on manufacturing needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of solid rocket propulsion, explosive/pyrotechnic devices, or electromechanical actuators
• Experience with Oracle, Delmia, or Windchill
• Experience with project management approaches such as integrated master scheduling or earned value management
• Ability to implement product design and development stage-gate processes
