Associate Production Director

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical lead and Director for studio productions
• Translate creative visions into reality through real-time editorial decisions during live broadcasts
• Guide execution of live and on-demand workout classes via camera blocking, lighting, and audio management
• Lead and support a team of Production Technicians during live broadcasts
• Maintain accountability for final artistic aesthetic and technical quality
• Manage daily production workflows as the designated Control Room Lead
• Collaborate with leadership to design and implement training programs for technicians
• Maintain and update SOPs, style guides, and technical workflows
• Partner with Engineering to identify workflow inefficiencies and test new solutions
• Act as the primary escalation point during technical failures

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience directing or technical directing in a live control room or broadcast environment
• Advanced knowledge of Ross Carbonite switchers and Yamaha QL/CL series audio consoles
• Proficiency in advanced signal flow including SDI, NDI, and Dante
• Ability to guide a technical crew calmly during fast-paced live broadcasts
• Systems-oriented mindset for troubleshooting complex IP-based broadcast workflows
• Ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
