About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security across the full lifecycle
- Develop and refine system requirements, architectures, and certification-ready designs
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to define cybersecurity requirements and solutions
- Conduct security assessments including threat analyses, risk assessments, and audits
- Identify assets and vulnerabilities and track risk mitigation through closure
- Implement product security standards and controls to meet JSIG, DoD RMF, and NISPOM requirements
- Support cyber test and validation activities, including tabletop exercises and scan result analysis
- Work onsite 5 days a week in Berkeley, MO
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or one active within the past 24 months)
- 1+ years of experience working within the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- 1+ years of experience in the development, integration, validation, and verification of cybersecurity systems
- 1+ years of experience in aircraft, mission systems, or training solutions
- 1+ years of experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) within 6 months of start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vulnerability scanning, mitigation, and system hardening
- Experience in systems/product security engineering for avionics
- Experience performing threat analysis and security risk assessments
- Knowledge of higher-order programming languages such as C/C++ or Ada
- Experience with Program Protection, Software Assurance, or Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)
