Associate Producer

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of producers to produce the CNBC Business News program
• Assist with the creation and coordination of elements for the daily business program
• Operate in a high-intensity, fast-paced control room environment
• Use equipment to play out real-time financial charts on-air
• Write copy and lower-thirds for daily segments
• Research segment ideas, information, and prepare research packets for anchors
• Assist in booking guests and remote feeds for guests and reporters
• Support producers with story production and pre-interviews
• Assist with show social media pages as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, business, or an equivalent degree
• At least 2 years of television production experience
• Ability to work early morning shifts (7am start) and flexible hours
• Ability to work under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news

• Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture
• Exemplary interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-starter mindset
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
