Associate Producer

Responsibilities

• Work live newscasts and special events across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms
• Assist producers in building, formatting, and conceptualizing daily newscasts and rundowns
• Write lower-third graphics and call out supers during live broadcasts
• Research stories, fact-check information, and verify sources to ensure journalistic standards
• Collaborate with Assignment Editors, Reporters, and production crews on story planning
• Request and coordinate news graphics through editorial and creative processes
• Utilize social media for newsgathering and staying current in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in TV production or cable news
• Full fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• Proven experience directing and guiding talent in video productions
• Proficiency in I-News and VIZ
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays

• Strong editorial knowledge and excellent grammar/writing skills
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a high-pressure newsroom
• Strong visual storytelling skills and "outside the box" thinking
• Experience working collaboratively across all levels of an organization
