Associate Producer

Responsibilities

• Produce entertaining and informative segments for Idaho Today, including sponsor-paid segments.
• Source, contact, and book clients and guests for the show, prioritizing local unique features.
• Work with the sales department and clients to meet business needs and guide them on TV best practices.
• Pre-interview guests, research topics, and provide research materials to the Host and staff.
• Pitch and craft stories for broadcast, web, and social media platforms.
• Combine live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging audience experiences.
• Collaborate with sales teams to create creative ways to connect show content with sponsors.
• Manage client customer experience, including greeting guests and following up with content links.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in media or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong creative writing skills with an emphasis on conversational storytelling.
• Experience working with sponsors, clients, and/or sales teams.
• Strong social media skills.
• Ability to manage multiple calendars, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous producing experience.
• Experience with ENPS and Edius systems.
• Basic mobile photography and video editing skills.
• Experience with Smartsheets or other project management tools.
• Experience with line producing or control room operations for live productions.
