Associate Producer/Booker

Responsibilities

• Pitch compelling stories, segments, and guests on a daily basis
• Book high-profile guests, including politicians and newsmakers
• Conduct pre-interviews and compile research for guest appearances and segments
• Assist segment producers and writers with production elements
• Build graphics, write banners, teases, and other editorial elements
• Coordinate and arrange field shoots
• Assist with breaking news coverage and last-minute editorial needs
• Work closely with the production team to execute a fast-paced nightly show

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience in television production, booking, or a newsroom/research role
• Strong knowledge of and passion for current events and politics
• Proven ability to secure guests and cultivate professional relationships
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to write in clear, concise formats
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to breaking news and changing priorities
