Associate Produce Buyer

Responsibilities

• Purchase assigned items using existing procedures and tools
• Ensure purchase order accuracy regarding items and costs
• Manage inventory for assigned items to meet service level and spoilage targets
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies
• Approve received purchase orders for vendor payment
• Coordinate activities with regional procurement managers and supervisors
• Manage product costing and inbound/intra-company logistics
• Resolve product damage, quality issues, and quantity discrepancies with vendors
• Manage related claims and achieve KPIs for fill rate and contract compliance

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Computer competency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Proficiency with 10 Key
• Strong basic math and writing skills for calculating product costs
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous purchasing experience
• Knowledge of Power Enterprise
