About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze credit information and financial performance to support lending decisions for commercial banking loans and credit solutions.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, calculations, and risk assessments to evaluate client creditworthiness.
- Utilize financial models and analytical tools to assess repayment capacity and recommend appropriate loan structures and collateral.
- Monitor portfolio performance to identify deteriorating credit conditions and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
- Support the negotiation of loan terms and conditions in alignment with client requirements and the bank's risk appetite.
- Identify revenue and cross-selling opportunities to expand client relationships and grow the portfolio.
- Maintain accurate data entry into BMO systems to support informed decision-making and portfolio management.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations within a corporate or banking environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of loan structuring, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking operations.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
