Associate Planner

Responsibilities

• Implement plans and process improvements for project activities
• Liaise between stakeholders and contractors to gather and share information
• Gather information in preparation for planning reports
• Maintain a database of the university's building information
• Resolve minor complaints within the scope of the role and refer larger issues when appropriate
• Exchange information at project planning committee meetings
• Prepare and update CAD drawings for review
• Create and edit project documents

Requirements

• Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in Architectural Design/Technology or equivalent experience
• Minimum four years of experience in architectural or interior design, space planning, and project coordination
• Experience handling multiple priorities and projects with conflicting deadlines while maintaining high accuracy
• Excellent planning coordination, organizational, and analytical skills
• Strong background in preparing analysis and generating reports
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong proofreading and editing abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Suite
• Familiarity with commercial construction projects
• Ability to exercise initiative, tact, discretion, and problem-solving skills under pressure
