About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement plans and process improvements for project activities
- Liaise between stakeholders and contractors to gather and share information
- Gather information in preparation for planning reports
- Maintain a database of the university's building information
- Resolve minor complaints within the scope of the role and refer larger issues when appropriate
- Exchange information at project planning committee meetings
- Prepare and update CAD drawings for review
- Create and edit project documents
Requirements
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in Architectural Design/Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum four years of experience in architectural or interior design, space planning, and project coordination
- Experience handling multiple priorities and projects with conflicting deadlines while maintaining high accuracy
- Excellent planning coordination, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong background in preparing analysis and generating reports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong proofreading and editing abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with commercial construction projects
- Ability to exercise initiative, tact, discretion, and problem-solving skills under pressure
