Associate Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to all customers and greet patients upon arrival
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring demographics and insurance information are accurate
• Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to all cash handling policies
• Schedule appointments, verifying correct visit types and primary care providers
• Manage waiting room cleanliness and communicate pertinent information to patients
• Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Resolve service issues and complaints, escalating to management or clinical personnel when necessary
• Assist team members with additional duties and float to other areas as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of healthcare or customer service experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Independent means of transportation and the ability to travel 10% of the time for job-related tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience with insurance programs, referrals, and prior authorizations
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and medical terminology
• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR)
• Experience in a medical office setting
• Bilingual in Spanish/English
