Associate Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and manage standard wait times
• Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including demographic and insurance verification
• Process pre-authorizations and precertifications for medical procedures
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issue receipts
• Manage the cashier box and daily deposits according to company policy
• Answer incoming telephone calls, redirect calls, and schedule appointments
• Manage medical records by maintaining, filing, scanning, and preparing them for schedules
• Ensure all correspondence is scanned, filed, and processed according to medical records release protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in customer service
• Beginner level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with medical office processes
• 1+ years of related work experience including data entry
• Prior experience with EMR computer applications
• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish)
