About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for the practice, greeting customers in person and over the phone
- Obtain and update accurate patient information, including contact details and insurance data
- Perform insurance verification on the date of service and follow payment security protocols
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments as directed by the care team
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, records, and patient signatures for required documents
- Upload valid government-issued IDs and insurance cards into the system
- Maintain an organized, clean, and clutter-free work area
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations, OSHA/WISHA guidelines, and established office policies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Ability to travel between the Edmonds and Everett, WA locations
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working with Epic EMR software
- Experience managing inbound and outbound phone calls
- Previous experience in a medical office performing scheduling, check-in/out, or insurance verification
