Associate Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and manage clinic wait times
• Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification and pre-authorizations
• Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issue receipts
• Manage cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
• Answer telephone calls, redirect calls, and schedule diagnostic or follow-up appointments
• Manage medical records by maintaining, filing, scanning, and preparing them for schedules
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of healthcare experience in a medical clinic setting
• 1+ years of insurance verification experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• 1+ years of experience handling and triaging telephone calls via multi-system phone lines
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
