Associate or Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students
• Create innovative curricula utilizing experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory
• Develop, monitor, and grade student assignments and assessments independently
• Participate in curriculum development, design, implementation, and evaluation
• Fulfill scholarly activity requirements including grant writing, publications, and presentations
• Provide academic advisement and support to students
• Maintain clinical and professional experience to support program accreditation (CCNE and AC-PE)
• Participate in faculty governance, departmental meetings, and university recruitment events

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• Proficiency in Canvas, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing
• Specialty certification
• 5 years of experience teaching at the collegiate level
• 7 years of clinical experience
• Experience with nursing simulation
