Associate Operator

Responsibilities

• Launch, maintain, and recover stratospheric systems (Swiftys) across the USA
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on technical hardware in the field
• Collaborate within a three-person Pod to ensure mission success
• Generate failure reports and technical work reports using data tracking tools
• Safely drive and maintain road launch vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks with trailers
• Participate in daily debriefs to plan and summarize field operations

Requirements

• Experience working with and troubleshooting technical hardware
• Ability to safely operate a heavy-duty truck with a 20 ft. trailer attached
• Proficiency in land navigation in remote or challenging environments
• Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including hiking up to 12 miles and lifting up to 60 lbs
• Willingness to travel 100% and work a 15 days ON/13 day OFF schedule
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• UAS Part 107 Certification
• Knowledge of balloon operations
