Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Orthopaedics Scrub Scout

Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership, guidance, and support to the Orthopaedic Scrub/Scout team
• Mentor and support nurses in developing their clinical and leadership capabilities
• Assist in the daily activity management of the perioperative team
• Role-model a culture of safety, quality improvement, and exceptional patient experience
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive innovation and optimize surgical workflows
• Play a key role in maintaining accreditation, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA
• Extensive orthopaedic scrub/scout experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills or experience in a senior perioperative nursing role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and clinical practice development

Preferred Qualifications

• Post graduate qualifications in Perioperative nursing or currently working towards them
