About the role
Responsibilities
- Complete advanced maintenance activities and monitor plant support equipment in accordance with cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies
- Use PLC and HMI software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot complex, automated manufacturing equipment and systems
- Coordinate technical support across engineering, regulatory, compliance, calibration, and process automation functions
- Assist during regulatory agency inspections, providing technical support in response to the FDA and other agencies
- Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory for equipment and systems
- Evaluate maintenance procedures and assist in changes to optimize the maintenance program and repair system failures
- Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, ductwork, and HVAC P&ID plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with 4 years of Technical Engineering experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Technical Engineering experience
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI software
- Experience with SCADA/PLC Control Systems
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6PM to 6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule
- Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Experience with Siemens and Rockwell HMI’s, Cognex Vision Systems, and Systech Serialization
- Understanding of Computer Serialization and Packaging Equipment
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Biotechnology industry
