About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support for system and equipment optimization, upgrades, and modifications
- Coordinate technical support regarding engineering, regulatory compliance, calibration, and process automation
- Perform advanced maintenance activities and monitor plant support equipment in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs
- Assist with regulatory agency inspections, providing technical support to the FDA and other bodies
- Evaluate maintenance procedures to optimize programs and troubleshoot equipment or system failures
- Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory for assigned equipment and systems
- Interpret and review utility, process system, plumbing, and HVAC P&ID plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years of technical engineering experience, or High school diploma/GED with 6 years of technical engineering experience
- Experience with PLC and SCADA control systems
- Knowledge of Siemens and Rockwell HMIs
- Experience with Cognex Vision Systems
- Strong technical writing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (6PM to 6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background in Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Biotechnology industry
- Understanding of computer serialization and packaging equipment
- Experience with automation system hardware and software installation
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
