About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform metallurgical analysis including cleanliness, carbide, and grain size ratings
- Conduct retained austenite, residual stress, hardness measurements, and macro etch
- Utilize computer programming to improve lab efficiency using MS Access, Word, Excel, and Visual Basic
- Maintain lab cleanliness, manage supplies, and organize lab samples and records
Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent technical experience
- 2-3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MS Access, Word, Excel, and Visual Basic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work the 3rd shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework in chemistry, metallurgy, or heat treatment
