About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform metallurgical analysis including cleanliness, carbide, and grain size ratings
  • Conduct retained austenite, residual stress, hardness measurements, and macro etch
  • Utilize computer programming to improve lab efficiency using MS Access, Word, Excel, and Visual Basic
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, manage supplies, and organize lab samples and records

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Access, Word, Excel, and Visual Basic
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work the 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in chemistry, metallurgy, or heat treatment
